The exhibition Newcomer 2014 presents from September 27^th until November 15^th paintings and drawings from the emerging Academy of Art student Julia Gräb. Newcomer is a regular series of exhibitions at the SHI FANG Fine Art Gallery, which aims to introduce the latest in contemporary abstract art, and offer talented young artists the opportunity to have a solo exhibition in their space.  

Painter and photographer Julia Gräb was born in 1991 in Düsseldorf and, has studied at the local Academy of Art since 2010. She has been a student of the Dresden painter Prof. Eberhard Havekost since 2012. The highly detailed and organic structures in her paintings appear from afar as undefined, yet captivating surreal images. Upon closer consideration the tiny individual components can be seen, which together produce the fascinating shaded forms.
